Support Others

A Coalville resident used the training she received to help a young woman find work.

Jenn* was aware that her son’s girlfriend, Sally*, was struggling to find employment. Her qualifications and work ethic were very good but her confidence in interviews was preventing her from securing a role.

Jenn used the training she received from Think Leicestershire to coach Sally. The first step of this coaching was to help Sally define a clear, time-bound goal around improving her self-confidence.

Following goal defining, Jenn used the techniques to enable Sally to think about possible activities she could undertake to reach her goal. These included sitting mock interviews and volunteering for a befriending scheme.

Now, thanks to Jenn’s support, Sally is working as a support advisor for a legal advice organisation.

If you’d like to learn how to coach someone in your life to help them build confidence and solve problems, come along to a Think Leicestershire Training.
